Our Story

Before the global pandemic, a group of schoolmates with varied skills and many decades of success in world-class fields of environmental and engineering projects, in the demanding international standards of North America, got together to transfer their skills to Guyana in its burgeoning oil and gas and related sectors.

As skilled engineers and management consultants operating in Guyana, we learnt the challenges in this evolving business environment, and are poised to optimize our efforts to bring about efficient and cost-benefiting outcomes.

More than a cliché we have a core of Engineers who have demonstrated their worth  over several decades while working in the challenging and demanding work environment in North America. We intend to inculcate the ethics, dynamism and core values of true engineering professionals.

We’ve seen how we can make more robust the mitigating environmental steps as Guyana’s industrial engineering takes off. We will engender tried and trusted principles as we design, implement monitor and mediate tasks with environmental and safety uppermost.

RONALD LOCHAN P.E. (BSc. Chemical Engineering)

President / Managing Director Environmental Engineering

Ronald is a Professional Chemical Engineer licensed in New York State since 1998, with over 35 years of experience working in the Environmental field, bauxite processing, and light Manufacturing. Twenty seven of those years were with the New York City Department of Environmental Protection working in almost every aspect of the business while becoming a technical expert in such areas as Development of Pollutant Discharge Limits, Assessment of wastewater infrastructure for rehabilitation and replacement, Construction Management, and using Geographical Information Systems to manage Assets. Working at the DEP made Ronald appreciate the benefits of working in an environment where Environmental Regulations were fully developed and had to be followed. As a Project Engineer in the Bauxite Industry and Metal Finishing Manager of the Refrigerator and Gas Cooker Manufacturing in Guyana, his knowledge and proficiencies developed in combustion and pollution control systems operation, quality control, and Environment, Health, and Safety. His broad experience makes him the ideal candidate to develop and expand our Environmental and Non-Destructive Testing Business.

MOHAMED A KARIMULLAH (BSc. Economics), MCSE

Vice-President / Director Information Security

Kari, an Information Security Engineer, started out as a Trade and Finance Economist with the Government of Guyana having graduated in Economics from the City University, London, UK. After migrating to the United States, he built IT systems with the data archiving company Patrina Corporation on Wall Street dealing with sensitive Financial data, Securities trades, and confirmations. Kari later joined the Sony family of global companies, Sony Music Enterprise, bringing to bear his vast experience of IT Systems on securing that global network. Ever adept at quick learning, he rapidly immersed himself in the growing load migration to the AWS (Amazon Web Service) and OCI (Oracle Cloud Infrastructure) for security risk management. Involved in corporate America’s culture and management style for decades and dealing with major US and Global tech vendors, Kari brings his aptitude and skill sets to bear in making Infinity Services a success in supporting services for Guyana’s oil and gas sector.

KAPEEL SINGH (BSc Construction Administration)

Director NDT

Kapeel is a Senior Project Engineer with over 20 years’ experience in the construction industry implementing small and large scale multi-billion-dollar projects in New York State, USA. With a Masters qualification from Colombia University, NY and a couple Bachelors degrees in Architecture and Construction Technology and a Professional in several trade associations including the American Society for Nondestructive Testing (ASNT) (NDT Level 2), the American Welding Society (AWS) CWI, International Code Council (ICC) - Structural Welding & bolting Special Inspector, among others, Kapeel brings a tremendous amount of experience in complex infrastructure work especially in Project Management and Administration Kapeel brings his QA/QC quality management expertise including design, construction, design-build, special inspections, code compliance, field supervision and compliance audits to Infinity Services’ understanding of the requirements of the oil and gas sector’s infrastructure. Prior to joining the New York State’s Metropolitan Transit Authority (MTA) B&T, he spent several years in the private sector as a consultant managing and implementing major capital projects and new developments. Kapeel is a Level 2 Non-Destructive Testing Professional who is passionate about imparting his knowledge to Guyanese technicians with an eye for the bountiful opportunities for Inspection Services of the oil and gas sector. He sees Infinity Services as filling a badly needed role for local Guyanese expertise working with the global support services for the oil and gas sector.

DENNIS PIETERS (PhD Petroleum Engineering)

Director Petroleum Engineering

Dennis is a doctorate in Petroleum Engineering with over 35 years of technical and leadership experience in the U.S. domestic and international upstream Oil and Gas industry. He has extensive knowledge of the Guyana Basin under exploration and production. Dennis worked as a Reservoir Engineering Consultant at Aramco Services Company in Houston, TX and Dhahran, Saudi Arabia (Simulation, EOR, Reserves Analysis, Unconventional Oil & Gas, etc.). He was a VP Reservoir Engineering & Reserves at J.M. Huber Corporation (Houston, TX, specializing in Coalbed Methane & Shale gas Reservoir engineering and Reserves assessment, Shale Gas Horizontal well Simulation and Hydraulic Fracture Treatment with Micro-Seismic interpretation and developed Workflow for cracking Shale Gas code among others. His Halliburton engagement took in the early 2000s took him to may part of the globe.

ULRIC O’D TROTZ (PhD Organic Chemistry)



Ulric with a PhD in Organic Chemistry from the University of Toronto, and a Science Adviser to the Caribbean Community Climate Change Centre, brings a wealth of field experience and research publications to Infinity. Ulric is an experienced Negotiator and Project Manager putting his training in Technology Transfer Negotiation, International Law Institute, Washington DC to good use and being impactful in the Regional Project Implementation Unit (RPIU) Caribbean Planning for Adaptation to Global Climate Change (CPACC).Working with guidance from the OAS, Ulric has had to oversee the RPIU's quarterly activity reports, disbursement plans, expenditure reports, and annual financial reports. Ulric Dean of the Faculty of Natural Sciences, University of Guyana and the Secretary General, National Science Research Council (NSRC), Guyana.

Oudho Homenauth (PhD Agronomy)



Oudho, with a PhD in Agronomy from Cornell University, New York, is a soil scientist who spearheaded Guyana’s soil management for sustainable agricultural crops. Oudho was the Chief Executive Officer of the National Agricultural Research & Extension Institute, Guyana until recently and was a Senior Lecturer and Dean at the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Guyana. Oudho has authored many scientific publications and has contributed to several regional conferences, workshops, study tours and international meetings. Oudho has been a Coordinator to a few food and nutrition projects in the Caribbean and has consulted in land use management. Oudho was instrumental in developing climate-smart systems for farmers and was at the center of the mangrove management and restoration program.

TERRENCE BLACKMAN (PhD Mathematics)



Terrence is an Associate Professor of Mathematics in the City University of New York. He is the former Chair of the Medgar Evers College Mathematics Department and the Immediate Past Dean of the School of Science, Health and Technology. He is a Member of the Institute for Advanced Study, School of Mathematics, and a member of the Executive Council of The National Alliance for Doctoral Studies in the Mathematical Sciences. He serves as Visiting Professor in the Department of Aeronautics & Astronautics at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and a former Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematics at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). He has also served as Assistant Professor in The Department of Education Research Policy & Practice in the Morgridge College of Education at The University of Denver. Dr. Blackman develops, communicates, executes and sustains Infinity’s strategic initiatives and he oversees Infinity’s educational and training initiatives. He works closely with the board of directors and senior leadership team to create Infinity's long-term and short-term initiatives and to guide the company through the planning process.

SHAUN BOLLERS (BSc. Chemical Engineering, MSc. Environmental Eng.)



Shaun is a Chemical Engineer with a Master’s Degree in Environmental Engineering with over 35 years of experience in the Environmental field and mineral processing (Bauxite). Over twenty-seven of these years were with the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation working as an Environmental Engineer in Monitoring Remedial and Construction activities at inactive hazardous waste landfills, and in the Government subsidized cleanup of Brownfields. The remediation process entailed reviewing and approving applications for the program and following up an all activities during the investigation, remediation, evaluation stages and through the issuance of the Certificate of Completion. Working in the Bauxite industry Shaun developed invaluable knowledge and experience in the fields of quality control, energy conservation, preventative maintenance as it relates to refractory lining of kilns and pollution control. This along with his associated knowledge of Health and Safety protocols in these two industries make him aptly qualified to develop and expand our environmental and non-destructive testing business.

MICHAEL BART P.E. (BSc. Chemical Engineer)



Michael is a licensed engineer in the province of Ontario, Canada since 1989. Twenty years as a Chemical/Process Engineer holding positions as Senior Process Engineer, Plant Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer & Staff Engineer, have formed the basis for his expansion into the Environmental Management field. As an Environmental Professional with more than fifteen years’ experience, Michael has advanced from the position of Environmental Engineer (Cement Processing), to Environmental Manager (Food Processing – Chicken & Beef), to his current role as Environmental & Sustainability Manager. Areas of expertise include development of Environmental Sustainability programs (Zero-Waste to Landfill, Energy Management, Water Usage & Conservation, Continuous Improvement initiatives, and Quarry Site rehabilitation). Other areas of Environmental expertise include Wastewater Treatment Plant management, development and implementation of Environmental Management Systems (EMS) as per ISO 14001, Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Emissions monitoring & reporting, Ambient Air Monitoring (PM), Continuous Emissions Monitoring Systems (CEMS), as well as development of site-specific Environmental Standard Operating Practices (SOPs), and “best practices”.

RALPH V SEEGOBIN (MSc. Water Resources; BSC. Civil Engineering)



Ralph is a Professional Engineer licensed in the States of Florida and New York with over 37 years of experience in general civil engineering. Ralph has practiced engineering in areas of building structures and foundations, roadway drainage designs and site civil works. His occupation varied from working as a Lecturer, a Project Engineer, a Quality Manager with a heavy-duty civil engineering construction contractor in New York and as a consulting engineer. Ralph’s career started at the University of Guyana as a Lecturer and on a part-time b asis working with a consulting structural engineering company. In 1988, Ralph co-founded a civil engineering consulting engineering firm in Guyana and is actively involved in its operation for over 32 years. As a designer, Ralph has expertise in software such as AutoCAD, MicroStation, Revit, Prokon and Staadpro for structural analysis; ICPR for hydraulic analysis; and Autodesk for Storm and Sewer Analysis. Ralph has worked on numerous projects in Guyana, Florida and New York and can move a project from inception to final completion to meet a client’s expectation.

CHANDERBALLI SHIVNARAINE P.E. (BSc. Civil Engineering, MSc Forestry Engineering)



Chanderballi has been a Professional Engineer licensed in the province of Ontario, Canada since 2006, with over 39 years of working experience in the civil engineering construction industry in Guyana and Canada. Eighteen of those years were in the Construction Industry in Ontario Canada in construction and Construction Management on major infrastructure projects. His early research paper on “Influence of Juvenile wood on the Bending Properties of soft wood lumber” was published in the Journal of Forestry Engineering in recognition of the uniqueness of the research and its conclusions. His broad civil works experience spans numerous project types, including highway bridges, railway bridges, roads and highways, pumping stations, electrical substations, high pressure gas installation, and drainage and irrigation. On many of these projects he performed Value Engineering during the bid and execution stages and ensured agreements and specifications were met. As a seasoned civil engineer, he is very innovative in solving design changes due to field conditions thus enabling the best project outcomes, taking into account safety, constructability and logistics.Chanderballi brings great value to our team as seasoned Civil Engineer, leader, team player, and trainer and mentor for young engineers.

GURU DALIP (MSc Electrical Engineering; BSc. Electrical Engineering



Guru holds Masters’ and Bachelor’s degrees in electrical engineering. Over the last 20 years he has worked as an electrical engineer at world class Engineering Procurement Construction & Management (EPCM) firms such as Bechtel and AECOM. He has progressed from design to principal electrical engineer on projects that span on the whole gamut of electrical systems in Oil, Gas and Power Generation industries and is now a leading startup specialist for oil, gas & power plants and systems. He brings experience and skills that will allow Infinity to handle projects that require engineers from multiple disciplines.
